Ventura teen arrested for allegedly stealing beer, throwing scooter at guard

A Ventura teen was arrested on hesitation of robbery Monday after he allegedly threw a scooter at a protection guard during a beer theft, police said.

The snitching was reported at 4:40 p.m. Monday at Ralphs, 9372 Call up Road.

When officers arrived, a security security for the complex told them Ralphs employees had seen two men filch beer from the store.

The guard, Donna Chaparro, 44, of Ojai, had tried to conclusion the suspected thieves several times but they eventually jumped over a stone wall and one threw a Razor scooter at her face, missing her by inches, regulate said. The suspects then ran from the scene.

About two hours after the upset, Chaparro saw the suspects skateboarding through the parking lot and detained the teenaged man who allegedly threw the scooter at her, police said. The other man fled.

The have a sneaking suspicion Chaparro detained, Brandon Paulson, 19, was booked into Ventura County Imprison on suspicion of robbery, police said.

The upset was classified as a robbery because of the scooter thrown at Chaparro, protect said. A robbery, by definition, involves the use of exact or fear.
