Great Chinese IR Thermometer
An easy to hold Chinese designed infrared laser therometer, with both spot and scan functions, and a steady beam. A nice hand held unit, although x2 overpriced.
Accuracy is unpredictable, and usually 1 to 1.5 degrees F. lower than a mercury minimum-maximum therometer.
Fluke Infra red temp gun
I am very pleased with buying things on Amazom, the service is very good and I have never had any problems with them. I RATE Amazon as one of the best places to shop for nearly anything. Now for the Fluke temp infrared gun, I rate it very high. Most anything by Fluke is of very high quality....

Tolerable point brought up by the 1 st answer. I'd like to use it for oven temp testing and for the foods within it.
