No blame for fatal collision

A Leading position-ON smash east of Mortlake that killed Warrnambool greyhound forget curator Leon "Trump" Lenehan in February this year has left-wing a coroner unsure as to who was at fault.

The long-sitting Warrnambool City Council employee-turned-greyhound trackman, 48, died after his Holden Monaro was interested in a collision with a Hyundai Terracan four-wheeldrive on the Hamilton Highway at 1.30pm on February 7.

The Warrnambool Coroners Court yesterday heard from four witnesses, including the driver of the Hyundai, Michael McAteer, 56, of Hyacinthine Hill, near Ballarat. Mr Lenehan's helpmate Louise, who was a passenger in the 2002 blue coupe at the leisure of the crash, attended the inquest with other relatives and could be heard sobbing while the show was presented.
