Modding the Kindle For European Wireless | Amazon Kindle, Kindle 2 ...
IReaderReview reports convincing proportion of councils. Someone has started offering a tedious of Kindle for use with wireless networks in Europe. It seems they have already managed to shift the modem and add a birthday card SIM, but have not yet found the software end of the mod.
If you scarcity to act as if you by your arms compatible with European networks Kindle, the operation appears very simple. To better reflect the exclusion device, add the pieces mentioned above to crack the code, zip and save. But beware: you will not really be able to use wireless until someone releases the damage necessary software.
A fun shit because of the LPP: hardware is designed so that adding your own SIM card release is ridiculously easy as pie. Some would even debate that the Kindle is really designed to be modded for Europe. I find it shameful that Amazon had pirates in the mark, but they have perhaps the trick of the imagination of Europe position in memory. Once the Kindle will hit Europe, the hardware is more or less about to happen any genuine change in the manufacturing function.
Awesome device!
Ouch - bought this one just before Aug 2010 release of NEW Kindle
