Western Digital Releases 1tb External Hard Drive
Western Digital recently released it’s 1tb (terrabyte) My Earmark AV DVR expander hard drive. The device enables DVR users to link the My Book drive to their existing DVR to add up to 120 hours of recording to their devices. Compatible with most foremost DVR’s, the My Book promises to be Wester Digital’s replication to many frustrated viewers dreams.
The cycle for most DVR users goes like this: set up your DVR to recount your favorite shows, watch them, delete them. That’s the way it has to go if you yearn for to keep recording new shows. Most DVRs will automatically overwrite old shows when play is low, but you never know which ones will go, or some of the older recordings are the ones that you’ve been keeping for a while & don’t need to lose. So the cycle continues, account, watch, delete.
That doesn’t become of come upon, however, on your TiVo, Dish, DirecTV and other DVR’s when you have My Register connected. You just set the device up to record and let it go. What could be advance? How about the fact that you get to keep your recordings, even if you switch services? I recently made the move from DirecTV to Dish (at large HD for life, how can you beat that?), and I lost some shows that I had been prudent for over a year. That was disappointing. That, however is no longer a problem.
